Thank you for your input, you are absolutely correct.  I have edited the paragraph to more accurately reflect the intentions of the article: without education,awareness, and support, mesothelioma research will not receive the funding required to develop a medical cure.  You put it perfectly in saying that millions of dollars must be poured into research.  Reaching this financial goal means incorporating the efforts of the whole mesothelioma community.</description>

		<description>I don't understand the first paragraph of this article at all.  The cure lies ONLY in new treatments.  Other things, such as support, are very important especially given there aren't effective treatments for mesothelioma, but they are not cures.  Ask any patient or family member, what is the cure for mesothelioma?  I bet none would say it was support or raising awareness.  They would say it was simply effective treatments and erradication of the disease from the person's body so they can go living without it, such as happens with other cancers.  To reach this goal there needs to be millions of dollars put into research.  A goal of the conference may be support for patients and raising awareness of the disease, but it is not a cure for the disease.</description>
