He had NEVER been ill and ignored his symptoms, as many "back in the day" did. The pain must have been excruciating because at the end he begged us to kill him. My mother got some compensation through lawsuits filed by his Union attorneys. However, I was "daddy's girl" and was devastated by his death. I was told I could NOT file a lawsuit, because there were no provisions for children. Has this changed? I want those ba***rds to pay and pay and pay....their only "conscience" is in their wallet. These criminals that have caused all of these problems are living the good life without a conscience. They didn't care. My father has been diagnosed with asbestsos but not mesothelioma. He has a spot on his lung and his doctor continues to scan him every six months. I am going in on his next visit and see why he doesn't remove it. He told my dad that he doesn't remove it because it could appear in the other lung. I think this is crazy. If it appears in the other lung we will deal with that when it happens.
