Treatment Centers for Veterans with Mesothelioma
Many veterans who need focused medical care and treatment rely on special facilities that are run by the Veterans Administration (VA). The VA offers low-cost, high-quality health care exclusively to veterans and their families through a system of over 1,400 medical centers and clinics across the U.S. At VA centers, highly trained physicians and staff provide medical, surgical and rehabilitative care across a variety of specialties such as oncology, physical therapy, orthopedics, and mental health. There is no monthly premium for VA care, but there may be a co-pay for some veterans.
Generally speaking, eligibility for VA health care benefits is based on active military service in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or the Merchant Marines during World War II. The applicant must have been discharged from service under other than dishonorable conditions and meet an annual income threshold to qualify for benefits.
